Named for race car driver Louis Chevrolet, the Chevrolet or “Chevy” as it’s more commonly called, is General Motor’s most popular vehicle. Priced for the average car buyer, and with vehicles from small cars to large trucks, there is something for every taste and budget. At one time, when Americans bought cars, one in ten of them bought Chevys. The most famous Chevy is probably the Corvette, which was not only the first sports car produced in volume, but also the first one with a plastic body. Fifty years later, Chevy is still making Corvettes along with the midsize Malibu.
