Originally known as Datsun, (literally meaning “Son of Dat”), Japanese automaker Nissan has been selling cars in the US since the late fifties. The name was changed in the 1980s. Although it is well known for small, economical vehicles, Nissan originally built trucks and military vehicles. Over the years Nissan has collaborated with many different automakers and merged with a few more. In 2004, Nissan introduced full sized trucks.
