In the car business for over a hundred years, Oldsmobile claims to have run the first assembly line and the first company to mass produce automobiles. Two of the Oldsmobile Curved Dash raced from New York to Portland in 45 days. There was even a song written about it called “In My Merry Oldsmobile”. Oldsmobile became part of General Motors. The Cutlass and Cutlass supreme were probably the most popular Oldsmobile offerings, although they built many other vehicles, from sport coupes and convertibles to station wagons. The “Olds” was the first GM car of to be retired in the 21st century.
