Swedish Volvo began building cars in 1927, selling 280 cars that year. In the years since, Volvo has expanded to building other vehicles such as trucks, busses, and other commercial vehicles. Volvo’s car division is now owned by Ford Motor Company who apparently has plans to sell it. Volvo is renowned for safety, and that is what largely attracts Americans to them, but they are also nice to look at – and great to drive. Volvo builds coupes, sedans, wagons and crossovers. The Volvo has lately been used in feature films such as the Twilight Saga.
